A perfect example is my two teenage (doggie) girls Fudgie and Daisy. Together they make an enchanting picture; Fudgie with her gorgeous auburn coat and Daisy who’s off-white coloring provides the perfect backdrop for her huge brown eyes and nose. They are medium sized dogs, with shiny, straight hair.Daisy is what I call a low maintenance dog. She appears dainty, independent, a feisty eater and inclined to be nervous. While other dogs stand around the table asking for food, she calmly watches from her doggie bed. She can be a bit timid around other more boisterous dogs and then goes to her special hiding place in the garden. But there are times when she’s as playful and energetic as any dog. She looks like a real little lady with her fair coloring and dainty build until she starts to bark! Her bark is anything but ladylike and quite unlike her rather dainty appearance. Daisy loves running, running with the speed of a Greyhound just for the joy of it! She’s also quite a gymnast and can be taught tricks like jumping over and climbing through obstacles. Now

Now Fudgie, aka the little terror, is another case altogether. She looks at you with her big brown eyes, demanding your attention and insisting on sharing in whatever you’re doing … or eating. She is always hungry and will take the food out of your plate if allowed to. As a result she’s bigger than Daisy and has a sturdier build. She also never gives up – even if you tell her NO, she just keeps asking, waiting, asking, waiting… Until you give her what she wants. She reminds me of some people; they are never embarrassed, they just keep on asking, searching until they get what they want. While Daisy has an independent character, Fudgie is a real homebody and loves being around people. As a result she’s a demanding dog – needing your constant attention. Fudgie is in her element when she sits on your lap with her head on the desk next to the laptop. What kind of personality does your dog have? Understanding your dog’s character can benefit the relationship you have with it.

1

We are accepting post from Dog lovers. If you have an interesting story send us an email blog@pethobs.com and we are sure to post it.

Notes:

Salomi is a contributing blogger, a dog Lover and am amazing person. You can see more of her articles on her website. ↩

People sometimes mistakenly think that puppies from the same litter will have the same personalities but they can be as different as humans born into the same family.
